Brijesh Chowta new candidate for D.K. district from BJP. Capt. Brijesh Chowta aged 43 joined BJP in 2013. Earlier he served for the Indian Army. He was active in NSS and social reform activities. He describes himself as entrepreneur and cultural and political activist. He served in 7th Betalion of 8 Gorkha Rifels. During his short military stint, Chowta served in the counter-insurgency operations in Manipur and Assam respectively.
Brijesh Chowta political career: Chowta is currently the State Secretary of BJP's Karnataka unit and is actively involved in grassroot politics. A graduate in science, 43-year-old Chowta joined the BJP in 2013 as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Currently, he serves as the State Secretary in Karnataka of the BJP. Earlier, he also served in several other capacities in the BJP, including the District General Secretary of Dakshina Kannada, from where he has been fielded in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
